Waiting

I am sitting her waiting on news about my niece. She is 4 and they have found something on her brain about the size of an adult thumbnail.
They found it just by chance. She had fallen and hit her head and my sister took her in to see if she needed stitches. The doctor said no, he had kids and said he knew how parents worried so he wanted to do a CAT scan just to make sure she hadn't cracked her skull even though the cut was small. The growth appeared on the CAT scan.
They are in Charleston today meeting with a neurologist to see what needs to be done and to find out the results of an MRI.
They have an appt with a neurologist in Morgantown if the ones in Charleston think it is needed.
Our hopes is that it is just something that has been there since birth and requires nothing.
But her parents are worried as any parents would be.
So I am trying to occupy my time waiting by the phone for their call to see what the DR's said.
